The Dog Days of Summer

Summer days are wonderful until they are not ;) (mid-August? late-August?) At some point each summer we find that our children (and ourselves) start to crave a little routine and different interaction.

We love summer and the things that it brings. For some of us a more relaxed rhythm. For some a busier rhythm of our choosing with sports and activities.

Summer campfires, summer playdates, summer travels.

For those of us who work in education it is a great time to catch our breath, do something different, and hopefully recharge our batteries for another year of serving families.

Whether we work another job, take college classes, or parent children who are home for summer, the days are never dull.

What are the three things that you hope the summer includes, that helps it feel restorative to you? Drop a note in the comments.
